Brian Francs Culkin graduated from Skidmore College in 2001, where he was a standout student-athlete. After breaking nearly every scoring record in the school's history with nearly 1,800 points and receiving national accolades, he went on to play professional basketball in Europe for a year following graduation.
Before transitioning to writing and creative work, Brian founded and served as the Managing Director/CEO of United Mortgage Group, a commercial and residential mortgage firm. From 2004 to 2010, he led a team of twenty brokers and operational staff, managing all aspects of the business.
Following his career in real estate finance, Brian opened the popular yoga studio Jai Yoga, where he taught daily Vinyasa-Ashtanga-style classes and led workshops on various yoga-related topics. During this period, he also worked as a consultant for the Open Mind Training Institute, a boutique management consultancy based in Santa Monica, California.
Fluent in Spanish, Brian has lived primarily in South America since 2019.
In addition to his work in business and the arts, Brian has written more than twenty books, directed three films, and is a collector of Peruvian artwork.
Brian has a deep interest and fascination with astrology, numerology, and palmistry. He operates the site www.astrotheory.com and does professional consultations for clients around the world.
